The Silvia Series

This series is my own personal journal for Project Silvia that I am building and documenting for Nissan Performance Magazine.  These are not the actual articles that I will be writing for the magazine, although a lot of this information will be used for those articles.  This is more of a personal journal to keep track of the project as details can easily be forgotten or overlooked.  

I also feel that I have an obligation to sponsors to keep them apprised of exactly where the project is and how their parts are performing, as they have a financial stake in this project.  These updates in addition to personal contact is the way in which I plan to achieve this.  In fact, the intention is to provide feedback on all parts to all manufacturers or retailers regardless if they are a sponsor or not.  If there are issues, the goal is to rectify these problems and improve the parts for the entire general public before the actual articles are published. 

In addition to sponsors, there are individuals and companies that have helped out financially, technically or just by helping track down some hard to find parts, that I would like to mention in the articles and also keep up to date.  Many of these companies and people are already well established in the SR20DET community, while some others are exploring the market opportunities and are helping out to gain exposure by being associated with this project.  Finally there are many friends that are either helping me or are considering similar projects that I would like to keep in the information loop.  I will be putting together periodic updates and will send out an email when an update is released.  If you should have any input, questions or additional information that would be of benefit to the project or the articles, please contact me directly at gnakata@yahoo.com. 

The first two updates below are pretty general in nature to get the project kicked off.  In the second update where I discuss the plans and goals of the project, I have specifically not mentioned the exact parts, suppliers or sponsors as many of these details are currently being worked out.  As the updates progress and more information becomes available, those details will be spelled out.
